S&P Global Ratings assigned its 'AA-' long-term rating to Kentwood Public Schools , Mich.'s $30 million 2025 general obligation (GO) school building and site bonds, series III. At the same time, we affirmed our 'AA-' rating on the district's outstanding bonds. The 'AA- rating is based on the application of our " Methodology For Rating U.S. Governments ," published Sept. 9, 2024, on RatingsDirect. The outlook is stable. The district's full-faith-and-credit and unlimited ad valorem property tax pledges secure the series 2025 GO bonds as well as the district's debt outstanding.
