Following a review of U.S. multiline insurer Kemper Corp. under our revised insurance criteria, we are affirming our counterparty credit and financial strength ratings on the company and its core operating subsidiaries. Our ratings on Kemper predominantly reflect our view of the group's strong business and financial risk profiles, based on its well-diversified product and geographic spread and very strong capital and earnings. The stable outlook reflects our view that the group will continue to maintain very strong capital adequacy and a strong business profile commensurate with the rating. On June 17, 2013, Standard&Poor's Ratings Services affirmed its 'A-' insurer financial strength ratings and 'BBB-' issuer credit ratings on U.S. multiline insurer Kemper Corp. and its core subsidiaries.
