S&P Global Ratings assigned its ?AA-? long term rating to Johnson County Unified School District No. 231 (Gardner-Edgerton) , Kan.?s approximately $127.2 million series 2025 general obligation (GO) refunding and improvement bonds. At the same time, we affirmed our ?AA-? long-term rating on the district?s outstanding GO debt. The outlook is stable. The rating reflects the application of our ? Methodology for Rating U.S. Governments ,? published Sept. 9, 2024, on RatingsDirect. An unlimited ad valorem tax, levied without limitation as to rate or amount on all taxable property within the district, secures the bonds.
