On Sept. 15, 2005, Standard&Poor's Ratings Services revised the CreditWatch status of its 'BBB-' counterparty credit rating on Fidelity National Financial Inc. (NYSE:FNF) to positive from negative. At the same time, Standard&Poor's revised the CreditWatch status of its 'A-' counterparty credit and financial strength ratings on the seven title underwriters that constitute the Fidelity National Title Insurance Cos. Group (Fidelity National) to positive from negative. These rating actions follow FNF's announcement today that it has signed a definitive merger agreement.
