S&P Global Ratings raised its rating on the City of Chicago ?s series 2000A revenue bonds(Cottage View Terrace Apartments) to 'A-' from 'BBB+'. At the same time, we raised the rating on Southern California Home Finance Authority series 2002A revenue bonds to 'A-' from 'BBB+'. The outlook is stable. The upgrades reflect our recent upgrade of General Electric Co . (GE) to ?A-?. GE guarantees the guaranteed investment contracts (GIC) of the bonds. The bond ratings are capped by the rating on the GIC guarantor. Ginnie Mae mortgage-backed securities secure the City of Chicago?s series 2000A bonds, issued for Cottage View Terrace Apartments, and the Southern California Home Finance Authority?s series 2002A bonds.
