Abstract:

On April 19, 2018, we published our methodology for assigning financial institution resolution counterparty ratings (RCRs). We are assigning long- and short-term 'A+/A-1' RCRs to Barclays Bank PLC (BB PLC; issuer credit rating [ICR] A/Stable/A-1). At the same time, we are raising the long-term issue rating on 44 collateralized notes issued by BB PLC to 'A+' from 'A'. We removed our affected issue ratings from "under criteria observation" after completing our RCR criteria review for BB PLC. The ICRs on BB PLC, Barclays PLC, and other rated Barclays entities are unaffected by this review.
