Jamaica-based bank NCBJ continues to be the largest financial institution in the country by assets, holding a significant share of the country's financial system's assets and deposits, but operating in a difficult economic environment. We are affirming our 'B-/B' ratings on the bank. The stable outlook reflects our expectation that NCBJ will continue to operate as one of the largest financial institution in the country, but largely exposed to sovereign debt and public sector lending. Thus, we expect the ratings on the bank to move in tandem with those on the sovereign. SAO PAULO (Standard&Poor's) Dec. 2, 2013--Standard And Poor's Ratings Services affirmed its 'B-/B' issuer credit ratings on National Commercial Bank Jamaica (NCBJ). The outlook is stable.
