SAN FRANCISCO (S&P Global Ratings) July 22, 2016--S&P Global Ratings assigned its 'AAA' long-term rating to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's (MIT) taxable bonds, series E. In addition, S&P Global Ratings affirmed its 'AAA' and 'AAA/A-1+' long-term ratings on Massachusetts Institute of Technology's (MIT) existing debt, some of which was issued by the Massachusetts Development Finance Agency (formerly known as the Massachusetts Health and Educational Facilities Authority). The outlook, where applicable, is stable. "The 'AAA' rating reflects our view of the incredible demand for MIT's programs, as well as MIT's exceptional student quality, geographically diverse student body, impressive management and governance oversight, and exceptional cash and investments relative to its outstanding debt," said S&P Global Ratings credit analyst Jessica Matsumori.
