Abstract:

CHICAGO (S&P Global Ratings) June 2, 2022--S&P Global Ratings revised its outlook to negative from stable and affirmed its 'AA+' rating on Lake County Consolidated High School District No. 120 (Mundelein), Ill.'s existing general obligation (GO) limited tax school bonds and existing debt certificates. At the same time, we assigned our 'AA+' long-term rating to the district's $49.8 million series 2022A GO limited tax school bonds. The outlook is negative. "The outlook revision reflects our view of the district's trend of imbalanced operations, which have reduced reserves, and our view of a greater than one-in-three chance of a lower rating within the next two years," said S&P Global Ratings credit analyst David Smith.
