CHICAGO (Standard&Poor's) Jan. 26, 2004—Standard&Poor's Ratings Services lowered its rating on Lake County Consolidated High School District No. 120 (Mundelein), Ill.'s outstanding GO bonds to 'AA-' from 'AA', reflecting periodic use of working capital to finance operations, which remain structurally imbalanced. The rating outlook has been changed to negative from stable reflecting the possibility of significantly reduced liquidity to the extent an operating levy increase is not approved by voters in 2004. In addition, Standard&Poor's has assigned its 'AA-' rating to the district's $9.185 million series 2004 GO refunding bonds and its 'A+' rating to the district's series 2004 limited-tax GO debt certificates.
