NEW YORK (S&P Global Ratings) Aug. 30, 2021--S&P Global Ratings today said Lincoln National Corp.'s (LNC) announced retirement of President and CEO Dennis Glass and transition to chairman of the board following the 2022 annual shareholders' meeting is not likely to alter the company's strategy. Ellen Cooper, currently executive vice president, chief investment officer, and head of enterprise risk and the annuity solutions group, will succeed Mr. Glass as president and CEO. We consider senior management changes, especially at the CEO level, to be meaningful transitions in the leadership of a company. In this instance, Mr. Glass has been LNC's CEO for over a decade, and we believe his leadership has had a favorable impact on the insurer's strategy and
