Abstract:

MEXICO CITY (Standard&Poor's) Sept. 22, 2011--Standard&Poor's Ratings Services said today that its ratings on Grupo Bimbo S. A. B. de C.V. (BBB/Negative/--) are unaffected by the company's announcement of the completion of the acquisition of the 70% stake in Compañía de Alimentos Fargo, S.A., an Argentinean producer and distributor of bread and bakery products with annual sales of approximately $150 million. We believe this transaction will slightly improve the company's business position in Latin America and will not have an impact on its financial profile.
