LONDON (Standard&Poor's) Aug. 5, 2014--Standard&Poor's Ratings Services said today that its ratings on France-based Crédit Agricole S.A. (CASA; A/Negative/A-1) were unaffected by the interim results that the Crédit Agricole group (GCA) reported for the six months ended June 30, 2014. CASA is the central body of the GCA's cooperative network and a core entity of GCA. The results show a sound underlying performance of the group, despite a €708 million write-off related to its stake in Portugal-based Banco Espirito Santo S.A. (BES). The write-off to zero by GCA of its stake in BES follows the announcement of BES' entry into resolution over the weekend. The write-off is broadly neutral in terms of our assessment of CASA's
