...NEW YORK (S&P Global Ratings) March 6, 2017--S&P Global Ratings said today that its ratings on U.S.-based construction and mining equipment manufacturer Caterpillar Inc. (A/Negative/A-1) are not immediately affected by federal authorities' execution of a search and seizure warrant at three of the company's facilities, including its corporate headquarters. The warrant appears to be related to--among other items--tax matters involving the company's transactions with its Swiss subsidiary, Caterpillar SARL (CSARL), which it previously disclosed in its latest 10K filing. The impact of this federal probe on Caterpillar is uncertain at this time.
