About This Report

Abstract:

PARIS (Standard&Poor's) Feb. 8, 2010--Standard&Poor's Ratings Services said today that the renaming of France-based Calyon to Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank, effective Feb. 6, 2010, does not affect the ratings on the bank. We view Crédit Agricole CIB as the corporate and investment banking arm of the Crédit Agricole group, whose member regional retail banks and central entity, Crédit Agricole S.A. (CASA), are rated AA-/Negative/A-1+. As we did under the name of Calyon, we view Crédit Agricole CIB as a core subsidiary of CASA. We therefore equalize the ratings with those on its parent under our methodology.
