NEW YORK (Standard&Poor's) Aug. 27, 2009--Boeing Co. (A/Stable/A-1) announced that due to its need to correct structural issues that it originally revealed in June 2009, the first flight of its new 787 jetliner would be delayed until the end of 2009. In addition, first deliveries to airline customers would not occur until fourth-quarter 2010. Standard&Poor's Ratings Services said that this announcement does not affect our ratings or outlook on the aerospace company, as a delay of this magnitude was incorporated into our recent downgrade of the firm ratings.
