TORONTO (S&P Global Ratings) July 10, 2020--S&P Global Ratings today said that Autopistas Metropolitanas De Puerto Rico LLC (BBB-/Watch Neg) is performing close to our expectations despite curfews imposed on the island beginning in mid-March and tightened in April. Starting in May, the government began to phase in reopening and expects to lift curfews on July 22. The project's traffic and toll revenues in the second quarter are 5%-6% lower than our COVID-19 base-case expectations, published April 13. But in July, traffic performance is trending better than we expected, with a decline of less than 10% in the first week of July compared to our 25% decline forecast last year.
