About This Report

Abstract:

This report does not constitute a rating action. LONDON (S&P Global Ratings) Feb. 11, 2025--S&P Global ratings said today that ArcelorMittal S.A. (BBB-/Positive/A-3) posted resilient operating results, despite a difficult environment for the steel industry in 2024. The company reported revenue of $62.4 billion and EBITDA of $7.05 billion, both of which represented year-on-year declines due to lower average steel selling prices, lower shipment volumes, and ultimately a negative price-cost effect. Nevertheless, these results remain above the long-term historical averages for the company, illustrating the structural enhancements undertaken across the business in recent years and the benefits of its geographically diverse and integrated model. In 2024, the steel industry suffered a period of low demand from the main end markets
