...NEW YORK (Standard & Poor's) April 22, 2016--Standard & Poor's Ratings Services today said Alphabet Inc.'s first-quarter 2016 results reflect continued strong revenue and profit growth as expected, consistent with the rating and outlook, which remain unchanged. Alphabet Inc., Google's parent holding company, generated total revenues of $20.3 billion in the first quarter of 2016, up 17% on a year-over-year basis. Excluding the negative foreign currency impact, revenue in the period was up 23% on a year-over-year basis, primarily a result of the increased use of mobile search by consumers but also from solid growth in desktop and tablet search and YouTube and programmatic advertising.
