NEW YORK (Standard&Poor's) Feb. 5, 2002-- Standard&Poor's today lowered its ratings on Boeing Co. and Boeing Capital Corp. and removed them from CreditWatch, where they were placed on Sept. 21, 2001 (see list below). The outlook is stable. The downgrades reflect significantly weaker commercial aerospace intermediate-term business prospects, due to the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks and a soft global economy. There are also considerable uncertainties as to the duration of the current downturn and timing and magnitude of the market's recovery.
