NEW YORK (Standard&Poor's) March 10, 2009--Standard&Poor's Ratings Services today assigned its 'A+' rating to Boeing Co.'s (A+/Negative/A-1) proposed offering of senior notes. The company did not disclose the total amount of notes to be offered, but we expect that there will be three tranches of 5-, 10-, and 30-year maturities. The notes will be issued under a recently filed rule 415 unlimited amount shelf registration for debt securities. The proceeds from the notes will be used for general corporate purposes.
