Guatemala-based bank BI has maintained its "strong" business position, "moderate" capital and earnings, and risk position, "adequate" liquidity, and "average" funding. We are affirming our long-term 'BB' and short-term 'B' ratings on the bank. The stable outlook is based on our expectations that the bank will maintain its leading position within the Guatemalan banking system with moderate capitalization levels and a risk-adjusted capital framework (RACF) ratio above 5% for the next two years.
