...August 13, 2020 SAN FRANCISCO (S&P Global Ratings) Aug. 13, 2020--S&P Global Ratings today assigned its '##+' issue-level rating to Cupertino, Calif.-based global hardware and services provider Apple Inc.'s senior unsecured notes. The company will use the proceeds from these notes for general corporate purposes, including to repurchase shares, pay dividends, and repay debt. We rate the new notes at the same level as our long-term issuer credit rating on the company. All of our other ratings on Apple remain unchanged. Apple's fiscal third-quarter revenue increased by 11% year over year to $60 billion as its iPhone segment returned to growth and reported a 2% rise in revenue compared with the same period last year on the strong iPhone SE launch, economic stimulus, and the lifting of shelter-in-place orders in certain geographies.
