NEW YORK (S&P Global Ratings) Aug. 15, 2019--S&P Global Ratings today assigned its 'AA (sf)' issue-level rating to American Airlines Inc.'s series 2019-1 Class AA pass-through enhanced equipment trust certificates (EETCs). At the same time, we assigned our 'A (sf)' issue-level rating to the company's series 2019-1 Class A pass-through EETCs. In addition, we assigned our 'BBB- (sf)' issue-level rating to its series 2019-1 Class B pass-through EETCs. These ratings are unchanged from the preliminary ratings we assigned on Aug. 1, 2019. American Airlines Inc. is planning to finance 14 new aircraft and refinance 21 existing aircraft with approximately $579 million of Class AA, approximately $289 million of Class A, and approximately $228 million of Class B 2019-1 EETCs.
