SAN FRANCISCO (Standard&Poor's CreditWire) June 15, 2000--Standard&Poor's today assigned its double-'A' rating to Albuquerque, N.M.'s $44.08 million GO general purpose bonds series 2000A and $6.75 million GO storm sewer bonds series 2000B. The bonds are scheduled to sell June 19, 2000. In addition, Standard&Poor's affirmed its double-'A' rating on they city's outstanding $139.97 million GO general purpose and sewer bonds. The outlook is stable. The rating reflects: -- An expanding and diverse economic base, -- Average wealth and income indicators, -- Moderate debt levels; and -- Sound financial performance. The bonds are secured by unlimited ad valorem property taxes. Albuquerque, with a population of 419,311, is New Mexico's largest city and economic center. Services
