Question: Keith Bachman - Bank of Montreal - Analyst
: Yeah, perfect. Thank you. And I will start us off. Doug, I'm going to ask two questions and then I'll turn it over to you. And I'll ask my questions
concurrently.
And as I said at the outset, Doug and I will bat the ball a little bit back and forth here, and then we'll invite investors in. And so, JV, I don't know if
this is -- maybe I'll direct it to you.
But if you think about how Adobe's ESG strategy has evolved over time -- and the reason I asked that one first is AI is creating a whole level of
complexity that -- I know you've been in causal AI for a while. But generative AI is a new source of it. It's adding a whole level of complexity.
How do you think about how it's evolved or how it might evolve over the next couple of years? And then since I'm a finance guy, I do have to turn
it into, how is management compensation tied into it? How do you ensure that your senior execs, including Shantanu, really buy into it and/or
practice on it in that there's consequences if goals or targets aren't reached?
And so I'll take a pause there. And then, Doug, you can come in thereafter.
Question: Keith Bachman - Bank of Montreal - Analyst
: Yeah. Jonathan, I'm also going to parallel Doug there in terms of asking questions that perhaps bridge between what would be in traditional ESG
and squarely on the business side, too. And I'm going to go back to AI.
And if you think about -- we've written a report that says Adobe is a leader in CDP, right? And yet, at the same time, there's concerns around privacy
and safety of that data. And so how do you guys think about that, protecting the customer data through that journey?
Now, I will tell you just as an anecdotal example. One of your competitors, perhaps named Salesforce was making a presentation. And we actually
had a lawyer in the room asking questions about the data and governance side, and it's incredibly important.
And so how -- just how do you guys think about this, not only bridging on the ESG side, but just also, Amy, as you alluded to or said specifically,
part of your business ethos? So how -- I go back to and ask the question is, how does generative AI change some of the activities and focus you
have?
Question: Keith Bachman - Bank of Montreal - Analyst
: And maybe as part of that, Jonathan, my second question is -- I don't remember if it was in the CSR report, the recent one or the one last year, but
it talked about an AI ethics review board. And maybe talk a little bit about what is the goal, how does it operate. How does it compare with other
companies?
And I think there was something called out, content credentials and CAI or content authenticator. If you could just speak to what's the intent.
What's the purpose? What's the value add? And importantly, again, thinking about putting on my shareholder hat, how is it different from what
some of the competitors may have out there in the offerings?
And then Doug, I'll turn it back over to you.
Question: Keith Bachman - Bank of Montreal - Analyst
: Okay. Doug?
Question: Keith Bachman - Bank of Montreal - Analyst
: All right, team. I think we're at the top of the hour. But on behalf of Bank of Montreal, we appreciate your time, Amy and Jonathan. Very interesting.
If any investors have follow-up questions, please feel free to direct them to us, and we'll be happy to try to facilitate. Otherwise, Jonathan, Amy, we
appreciate your time. Very interesting, and we wish you all the best of luck. Many thanks.
