The Scorelogix Retail and Wholesale Job Security Index increased by 5.6% or 2.6 points (MOM) in January 2013 when compared to December 2012 and increased by 55.2% or 17.6 points (YOY) in January 2013 from January 2012.Index in Retail and Wholesale section increased slightly in January, with most of the increase occurring in its nondurable goods component. After a sharp decrease in August in 2012, the index has steadily increased in the last 5 months. However, the seasonal pattern in the Retail and Wholesale sector naturally leads to lower demand in the coming month.
