The Health Care and Social Assistance Job Security Index increased by 1.9% or 1 point in August 2012 when compared to August 2011. After the decrements of last couple of months, the index continued dropping this month. Despite the positive effects of healthcare reform, the sector?s growth could be affected by chronically increasing healthcare costs. And a decelerating economy and less government spending could also have significant negative effects. Given these factors, Scorelogix predicts this sector to continuously post slow and cautious growth in the coming months.
