Our 2014 global outlook for intermediate goods remains unchanged at 3½% as economic activity came in broadly as expected over the previous quarter. Looking out towards next year and beyond, the outlook has been significantly downgraded, driven primarily by lowered expectations of Chinese industrial and construction activity. The downgrade in China represents 43% of the overall downgrade to the world forecast, with increased pessimism in the Japan, the Eurozone and the BRICs contributing as well.
