Global chemical production increased by 3.8% compared toyear-ago levels in Q1 2014, a slight deceleration from 4.1%in the previous quarter. On a regional basis, growth in thedeveloped world accelerated to 3.1% year-on-year in Q12014 from 2.6% in Q4 whilst emerging markets saw outputgrowth slow to 4.9% from 6.1% in the previous quarter. Overall, we expect global chemical output to expand by 3¾%and 4¼% in 2014 and 2015, respectively, after 2.7% in 2013
