Global chemical production increased by 2.6% in H1 2016, compared to a year earlier. A look at the broad regional breakdown shows that developed countries saw production rise by 0.4% while emerging markets saw growth of 4.8%. Indeed, for developed countries it is an especially sharp slowdown from the growth rates seen late last year.
