ENGLEWOOD (S&P Global Ratings) April 26, 2024--S&P Global Ratings raised its rating to 'AA-' from 'A+' on Yuma-La Paz Counties Community College District, Ariz.'s (also known as Arizona Western College or AWC) series 2021 revenue bonds and general obligation (GO) bonds outstanding. The outlook is stable. "The upgrade reflects the college's rebound in enrollment trends, with expectations for continued growth coupled with a moderate debt profile and strengthened financial performance in recent years, with maintenance of improved financial resource levels," said S&P Global Ratings credit analyst Chase Ashworth.
