...October 18, 2023 CHICAGO (S&P Global Ratings) Oct. 18, 2023--S&P Global Ratings assigned its 'A-' issuer credit rating (ICR) to YMCA of the USA (Y-USA), Ill. The outlook is stable. An ICR reflects the obligor's general creditworthiness. The rating is not specific to a given debt issue as it does not consider the security and other credit and legal characteristics for a given debt issue. "The rating reflects our view of the Y-USA's position as a national organization dedicated to the health and well-being of people by chartering and supporting nearly 800 YMCA Associations with about 16 million members," said S&P Global Ratings credit analyst Sean Wiley. "The rating is reflective of the Y-USA's consistent operating surpluses and operational flexibility and solid financial resource ratios relative to debt with very little capital needs."
