ENGLEWOOD (S&P Global Ratings) Feb. 6, 2024--S&P Global Ratings assigned its 'AAA' long-term rating to Wisconsin's roughly $150 million 2024 series A (green bonds) environmental improvement fund (EIF) revenue bonds. At the same time, S&P Global Ratings affirmed its 'AAA' long-term rating on Wisconsin's outstanding EIF revenue bonds. The outlook is stable. "The rating reflects our opinion of the state's extremely strong enterprise and financial risk profiles, which is based on our assessment of the program's exceptional history of borrower repayments, extremely strong loss-coverage score, and low industry risk score," said S&P Global Ratings credit analyst John Schulz.
