NEW YORK (Standard&Poor's) Aug. 27, 2007--Standard&Poor's Ratings Services raised its standard long-term rating and underlying rating (SPUR) on Williamson County, Texas' GO debt one notch to 'AA' from 'AA-' based on the county's continued strong economic expansion and diversification and rapid property tax base and population growth that has allowed the county to keep its already high debt burden indicators constant over the past seven years. The outlook remains stable. The rating service also assigned its 'AA' standard long-term rating, and stable outlook, to the county's $108.35 million series 2007 unlimited-tax GO road bonds and series 2007A $14.00 million limited-tax GO bonds.
