S&P Global Ratings assigned its 'AA' rating to the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority 's (WMATA) series 2025A second-lien dedicated revenue bonds. S&P Global Ratings also affirmed its 'AA' rating on parity WMATA dedicated revenue bonds. The outlook is stable. DALLAS (S&P Global Ratings) June 18, 2025--S&P Global Ratings today took the rating actions listed above. We believe overall environmental, governance, and social (ESG) factors for the dedicated revenue bonds are neutral in our credit rating analysis, as reflected for each of the jurisdictions--District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia. Governance structure is not a current risk, in our view, despite the multijurisdictional aspect and reciprocity provisions of the funding agreements.
