NEW YORK (Standard&Poor's) May 31, 2002--Standard&Poor's said today that it lowered its senior secured bank loan rating on kitchenware manufacturer WKI Holding Co. Inc. to 'D' from double-'C' following the company's Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing. The corporate credit and subordinated debt ratings were lowered to 'D' on May 2, 2002, because the company did not make an interest payment on its subordinated notes that was due May 1, 2002.
