Household and corporate debt relative to GDP is reducing towards what we consider to be a more manageable level for the U.K. banking system. We expect U.K. bank loan losses across domestic asset classes to remain low this year and next. As a result, we now ascribe a positive trend to our view of economic risk, reflecting our view of decreasing risks to the U.K. banking sector arising from credit risk in the economy.
