NEW YORK (Standard&Poor's) Aug. 30, 2012--Standard&Poor's Ratings Services today confirmed its 'AA-/A-1+' ratings on two series of bonds issued by Rhode Island Student Loan Authority (see list). The transactions were remarketed on Aug. 30, 2012, with a new letter of credit (LOC) from State Street Bank&Trust Co. ('AA-/A-1+'). The new LOC, which covers both transactions, reflects a new LOC expiration date of June 30, 2014. The remarketing of the bonds and execution of new LOC will not, by themselves, cause Standard&Poor's to lower or withdraw its current ratings on the bonds.
