NEW YORK (S&P Global Ratings) Nov. 18, 2016--S&P Global Ratings raised its ratings on Pennsylvania Higher Educational Facilities Authority's debt issued for Thomas Jefferson University to 'A+' from 'A'. S&P Global Ratings also raised its ratings on Montgomery County Higher Education&Health Authority, Pa.'s debt issued for the Abington Memorial Hospital Obligated Group to 'A+' from 'A'. At the same time, S&P Global Ratings assigned its 'A+' rating to the university's $280 million series 2016A tax exempt fixed rate bonds and to the university's $80 million series 2016B tax exempt variable rate bonds.
