LONDON (Standard&Poor's CreditWire) June 12, 2001--Standard&Poor's today assigned its triple-'A'/'A-1'-plus senior unsecured and short-term debt ratings to Swiss Reinsurance Co.'s (SRZ; AAA/Stable/A-1+) $2 billion European medium-term notes (EMTN) program signed on June 8, 2001. In line with the program rating, Standard&Poor's also assigned its triple-'A' senior unsecured debt rating to the Swiss franc (SFr) 150 million ($83.1 million) senior notes launched by Swiss Re America Holding Corp. (SRAH; AA+/Stable/A-1+) on June 7, 2001. The notes will mature on June 29, 2015, and bear interest of 4% per year.
