Standard&Poor's Ratings Services affirmed its'A'rating on Will County School District No. 81 (Union), Ill.'s general obligation (GO) debt. The outlook is stable. The rating reflects our view of the district's: Participation in Chicago's deep and diverse economy along with immediate access to Joliet's large local job base; Very strong economic indicators; and Moderate overall debt burden. Although the district's reserve level remains good, we consider the small level on a nominal basis to be an offsetting factor. The district is located about 42 miles southwest of downtown Chicago in Will County.
