Standard&Poor's Ratings Services has affirmed its 'AA' rating on West University Place, Texas' waterworks and sewer system revenue bonds. The outlook is stable. The rating reflects our assessment of the system's: Location within the Houston metropolitan statistical area (MSA), High wealth levels, Strong liquidity and adequate coverage levels, and Limited additional capital needs. The 1.9-square-mile West University Place, with an estimated population of about 14,787, is a home-rule municipality five miles from Houston's central business district; such access allows employment opportunities throughout the deep and diverse MSA.
