S&P Global Ratings assigned its 'AA+' long-term rating to Wisconsin's $204.55 million general obligation (GO) bonds of 2023, series A (tax-exempt). At the same time, we affirmed our 'AA+' long-term rating on the state's $6.82 billion of GO debt outstanding, its 'AA' rating on the state's appropriation-secured debt, and its 'AA-' rating on the state's moral obligation debt. We also affirmed our 'A+' rating on Wisconsin Center District's appropriation bonds (Milwaukee Arena Project). Finally, we affirmed our 'A-1+' short-term ratings on the state's GO commercial paper (CP) and extended municipal CP programs, as well as the short-term self-liquidity component of our dual rating on Wisconsin's variable-rate demand obligation (VRDO) notes outstanding (AA+/A-1+).
