Abstract:

S&P Global Ratings affirmed its 'A-1+' short-term rating on San Antonio, Texas' (San Antonio Water System or SAWS) series A-1 revolving credit agreement (RCA) with JPMorgan Chase Bank N.A. to reflect planned amendments to the RCA that take effect on March 10, 2023.  At the same time, S&P Global affirmed its 'A-1+' rating on the city's series B RCA with Wells Fargo Bank N.A. This facility is scheduled to expire on Jan. 5, 2024. Both RCAs support SAWS' commercial paper program, which is used for interim financing. We base the CP ratings on our 'AA+' long-term ratings on SAWS' senior-lien bonds using our "Methodology For Linking Long-Term And Short-Term Ratings", published April 7, 2017, on RatingsDirect.
