Standard&Poor's Ratings Services lowered its rating on Salem Hospital Facility Authority, Ore. (Salem Hospital Regional Health Services) hospital variable-rate demand obligation bonds series 2008B to 'AAA/A-1' from 'AAA/A-1+'. The bank facility was extended to Nov. 12, 2013. This action follows Standard Poor's Dec. 6, 2011, downgrade of its rating on U.S. Bank National Association to 'A+/A-1' from 'AA-/A-1+'. The long-term component of the rating is based jointly (assuming low correlation) on the ratings on the obligor, Salem Hospital Regional Health Services, and the letter of credit provider, U.S. Bank National Association.
