Although Questar is a diversified energy company, the company derives the bulk of its profits from its oil&gas exploration and production (E&P) activities. Through its Questar Market Resources Inc. (QMR) subsidiary, the company maintains growing natural gas-focused E&P operations in the Rocky Mountains and the Midcontinent region, as well as midstream operations (gathering and processing natural gas).
