The rating on Philadelphia, Pa.'s commercial paper notes reflects a direct pay, irrevocable LOC provided by Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce. The LOC covers the aggregate face amount of commercial paper and expires on June 15, 1999. The note resolution provides that the city may issue notes in an aggregate amount not to exceed $100 million. The proceeds of the series C notes will be used to finance materials and supplies acquired by Philadelphia Gas Works and various accounts receivable.
