The rating on Philadelphia Authority for Industrial Development, Pa.'s notes series A and B, issued on behalf of Philadelphia, is based on a direct-pay LOC from First Union National Bank. The LOC, which expires on Feb. 1, 2002, provides coverage for principal and interest payments. Note proceeds will be used to renovate Philadelphia's Veterans Stadium and acquire land as well as to make some site improvements on land adjacent thereto.
