S&P Global Ratings assigned its 'AA+' rating to New York State's general obligation (GO) series 2023A and series 2023B tax-exempt bonds, series 2023C tax-exempt refunding bonds, and series 2023D taxable bonds. The outlook is stable. The 2023 bonds are general obligations of the state and secured by its full faith and credit. Bond proceeds will be used to fund various purposes relating to the Clean Water/Clean Air, Bond Act of 1996; the Environmental Quality Bond Act of 1972; Pure Water; Rebuild and Renew New York Transportation Bonds; and the Smart Schools Bond Act.
